Fars News Agency has reported that the U.S. Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, in his recent remarks, described the Strait of Hormuz as Iran’s “economic nuclear weapon.”
Sources stated that following the closure of the Strait of Hormuz by Iran, foreign analysts emphasized that Tehran, due to its unique geopolitical position, does not need nuclear weapons, as this strait effectively plays that role. Now, the U.S. Secretary of State has also acknowledged this.
Rubio further warned that if Iran acquires nuclear weapons, it would use them against the entire world in a manner similar to the Strait of Hormuz.
