The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, said that his country is actively advancing work on the Trans-Afghan Corridor.
He made the remarks during the opening ceremony of the Fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum held in Uzbekistan.
Mirziyoyev said the Trans-Afghan project could form a wide transport network linking Asia and Europe and play a key role in strengthening regional connectivity.
He also noted that an Afghan delegation is visiting Uzbekistan to take part in the forum.
