Venezuela’s vice president, Delcy Rodríguez, said in a televised address that the government remains in power and stands ready to confront any potential threat.
Rodríguez urged the United States to ensure the release of Nicolás Maduro and his wife, stressing that Venezuela will never become a colony of any other country.
She called on the Venezuelan people to stay united, affirming that “the Venezuelan government remains in power.”
Rodríguez also stressed that Venezuela has a president, and that president is Nicolás Maduro.
