For some time now, foreign-affiliated media have launched extensive propaganda campaigns in cyberspace to portray the situation in Afghanistan as critical. Day and night, they resort to fabricated and false subjects to keep their deceived supporters entertained and to maintain their propaganda market.
If one pays a little attention to these media wars, it becomes evident that behind many of these propaganda projects lies the dark hand of Pakistan’s ISI; the same hand that is stained with the pure blood of the children of Kunar, Paktia, Paktika, Khost, Nangarhar, and the martyrs of the Omid Hospital.
When the traitors of this homeland become assistants to the ISI, naturally, their propaganda drums are beaten louder, and their presence in the virtual space becomes more prominent. Habibullah Hessam, the head of the Scholars Council of the Resistance Front, is one of these individuals who constantly re-publishes propaganda and media projects initiated by foreign supporters and seeks to provoke people’s emotions by exploiting sensitive issues.
Continuing with this propaganda project, Habibullah Hassam has recently called on the people of the northern provinces, especially Badakhshan, Takhar, Baghlan, and Kunduz, to resist the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan with the slogan “Defend Your Territory,” and has even claimed that this resistance is obligatory from both a religious and rational perspective.
But the question arises, Mr. Hesam, where were you when the country was invaded and occupied by more than forty aggressor countries, calling on the people to resist and wage jihad against the occupying forces? How can someone who is living abroad call on the people inside Afghanistan to engage in conflict and war, yet is unwilling to let even the slightest pain affect themselves and their family?
Yes, they, for their own interests and as they have played with the blood of the people in the past few decades, still want to play with the blood of the people and secure their own benefits; but the time for these games is over, and the people of Afghanistan will not allow any deal-maker to use their blood for their own trade with emotional slogans.
On the other hand, why has the front that once claimed to capture provinces, expand controlled areas, and prepare for advancement, today limited itself to spreading provocative messages and exacerbating ethnic and sectarian conflicts instead of being present on the battlefield? If all those claims were true, what need would there be today for these emotional and provocative calls?
The reality is that the calls of resistance from abroad, rather than being a sign of strength, are indicative of weakness, helplessness, and the failure of a project that could not achieve its goals in the field and is now trying to secure a place in public opinion thru psychological warfare, media propaganda, and creating division.
