    217 Omari Corps Seizes Large Cache of Weapons and Ammunition in Baghlan

    The Ministry of National Defense says that forces of the 217 Omari Corps have discovered and seized a large quantity of weapons and ammunition in the Bazarak area of Khost District, Baghlan Province.

    According to the ministry’s statement, the seized items include six Kalashnikov rifles, two rocket launchers, 52 rocket rounds, 2,600 Kalashnikov rounds, 2,400 PK machine-gun rounds, 43 grenade rounds, and a large amount of other ammunition.

    The Ministry of National Defense added that the weapons and ammunition will be handed over to the state’s treasury (Bait-ul-Mal) after the completion of legal procedures and registration.
