The Ministry of Justice announced today that 352 jeribs(176 acres) of land, previously seized by former parliamentarian and Jamiat member Mullah Izzat during the fallen republic, have been officially reclaimed in the Paghman district of Kabul. The land, located in an area known as “Mullah Izzat Town,” has now been registered as state property.
According to the ministry’s statement, the Land Grabbing Prevention Commission had earlier investigated over 443 jeribs of land in the same town. The case was formally submitted to the special court dedicated to handling land seizure disputes, in accordance with Article 17 of the law on preventing and reclaiming seized lands.
The ministry also noted that in 1403 A.H, it had reclaimed 556 jeribs of land in the Qarabal area of Paghman district, known as the “Sardar Mohammad Daoud Khan Town.”
