On February 18th and 19th of this year, several opposition groups of the caretaker government gathered in the Austrian capital, Vienna. For two days, they held fragmented discussions behind closed doors, influenced by their financiers and other foreign parties, and eventually issued a vague and ambiguous statement. This meeting later provoked widespread reactions from other opposition factions.

Although this meeting was organized in such a way that all or at least the majority of the opposition groups would participate, it did not happen, and the meeting was held behind closed doors, amidst the peak of disagreement among a few limited individuals and an atmosphere of compulsion. The details of the meeting were not shared with the media and only that one vague announcement was made.

But recently, a informed and reliable source shared precise and detailed information about this meeting with the Hindu Kush Voice. Due to the sensitivity of the matter, this source refrains from naming, but according to them, the meeting took place in an atmosphere where all affairs and authorities, besides the foreigners, were solely monopolized by Ahmad Massoud and Yasin Zia. Both of them initially had a severe disagreement over the flag; Ahmad Massoud, the son of Ahmad Shah Massoud, insisted on placing the flag of the Northern Alliance in the meeting, while Yasin Zia insisted that the three-colored flag should be placed in the hall. After extensive arguments on this matter, Ahmad Massoud eventually yielded to Yasin Zia’s demand and agreed to place the three-colored flag (black, red, green) in the hall, which caused severe anger among Ahmad Massoud and the members and supporters of the Resistance Front and he was accused of betrayal.

According to the source, it was planned that regarding the Hazara’s representative Mohaqiq or his another close and high-ranking representative would attend this meeting, but for unknown reasons, they were denied a visa at the last minute to participate in this meeting.

The source adds that there were also differing opinions regarding the Uzbek representative in this meeting. Some said that Dostum or another high-ranking representative from the Junbish party would participate, while others disagreed and called for the participation of other individuals. Ultimately, their participation in this meeting was quite limited.

The source further states that the attempt was to show this meeting as diverse and to gather various factions, but due to severe disagreements over the agenda and other matters, some figures boycotted the meeting in advance, and the participation of other figures and factions was deliberately obstructed, as everyone was trying to gain advantages in their own name and present themselves as the main party in this meeting.

Therefore, this source adds, in addition to extensive campaigns and advertisements, this meeting was held under the shadow of severe conflicts, disagreements, distrust, and the influences, orders, and demands of foreign parties, and it had no tangible outcome.
