CNN reported that a devastating tornado, coupled with severe storms, swept through Brazil’s southern state of Paraná, leaving at least six people dead and more than 400 injured, according to state officials.

Authorities reported that the disaster destroyed dozens of homes, forcing nearly 3,500 residents to evacuate.

The Paraná State Meteorological Agency confirmed that wind speeds during the tornado reached between 180 and 250 kilometers per hour, intensifying the scale of damage.
