    Afghan Prime Minister and Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Discuss Boosting Afghan Exports to Kazakhstan

    Afghan Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund and Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy, Serik Zhumangarin, discussed expanding Afghan exports to Kazakhstan during a meeting in Kabul, according to a statement issued by the Arg.

    During the meeting, Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund described Afghanistan and Kazakhstan as two Muslim countries with strong political, economic, religious, and cultural ties.

    Serik Zhumangarin said Kazakhstan intends to increase imports of Afghan products and noted that the Afghan-Kazakh Joint Chamber of Commerce was inaugurated in Kabul on Saturday to help advance bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

    He also conveyed an official invitation from Kazakhstan’s president to Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund to visit the country.

    The Afghan Prime Minister described relations between the two countries as important and said Afghanistan has made significant progress across a range of sectors, adding that these achievements have been made possible with the support and cooperation of friendly countries.

    Referring to the positive ties between Kabul and Astana, Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund said all relevant institutions would be directed to take practical steps to expand cooperation and further strengthen relations between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan in different fields.

    He also extended an invitation to Kazakhstan’s president to visit Afghanistan.
