Syrian Interim President Ahmad al-Sharaa held a phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss the current situation in Syria, the protection of the country’s sovereignty, and opportunities for enhanced bilateral cooperation.
According to a Syrian government statement, both leaders underscored the need to protect Syria’s territorial integrity and actively support efforts to ensure lasting stability.
The statement added that the call also covered key regional issues, with both leaders underscoring the importance of opening new opportunities for Syria.
