Almirsad Publishing Organization has published findings from an investigative report, revealing that Muhammad Sharifullah, who was detained by Pakistani intelligence and handed over to the U.S., was not the mastermind behind the Kabul airport attack. The report, assisted by U.S. intelligence agencies, clarifies his role in the incident.

According to Almirsad’s sources, Sharifullah was arrested in 2019. However, after the prison break on August 15, he escaped and had played the role of an ordinary individual both before and after his imprisonment.

The report also mentions that during operations by security forces in Herat and Nimroz provinces, two members of Daesh, identified as Dr. Hussein and Abdullah Kabuli, were killed. Following their deaths, the White House spokesperson stated that they were the masterminds of the Kabul airport attack and had been killed during the security forces’ operations.

Additionally, it is important to note that in a speech to Congress on Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that the main mastermind of the 2021 Kabul airport attack had been captured in Pakistan.
