The Media Office of the Badakhshan Governor’s Office said in a statement that during visit to Shahada District, the governor of Badakhshan, Mullah Rahmatullah Najib, met with tribal elders, religious scholars, influential figures, youth, and local residents to discuss the area’s problems and the expansion of public services. He assured them that efforts would be made to address and follow up on the existing challenges within the available resources.
The statement added that residents of Shuhada District shared their requests with the governor regarding the construction of the district’s main road and other needs.
According to the statement, Mullah Rahmatullah Najib stressed the importance of public unity and cooperation with local authorities and called on tribal elders, scholars, and influential figures to play an active role in strengthening coordination between the people and government institutions.
He praised the sacrifices and dedication of the people of Shuhada District during the Soviet and U.S. occupations and also provided cash assistance to orphans, needy families, patients, and mujahideen.
