Reuters news agency, quoting Cambodia’s representative to the United Nations, Chia Kiou, reported that the country is ready for a ceasefire with Thailand.
According to the source, Cambodia has called for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire and a peaceful resolution to the conflict, stating that this decision was made after a meeting with the UN Security Council.
It is worth noting that Thailand and Cambodia exchanged heavy fire for the second time yesterday, and the border conflict between the two countries has intensified and expanded.
