According to a BBC report, Czech President Petr Pavel has pardoned four soldiers who were under investigation in connection with the killing of a former Afghan soldier.

The report states that these soldiers had been deployed to Afghanistan as part of the Czech special forces.

The Czech presidential office announced that all aspects of the case had been thoroughly examined, adding that the President made this decision due to the specific nature of the incident and the combat conditions under which incident took place.

It is worth noting that during the fallen republic, numerous soldiers from NATO member countries stationed in Afghanistan were accused of killing, torturing or forcibly disappearing their Afghan allies.
