Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi said the construction of the second major cement production plant in Jabal al-Siraj marks a significant step toward Afghanistan’s industrialization.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony for the project, Hanafi noted that since the return of the Islamic Emirate, important efforts have been undertaken in various sectors to support the country’s reconstruction, development, and self-sufficiency.
He said the launch of the second Jabal al-Siraj cement plant is a major milestone for Afghanistan’s industrial sector and added that, once completed, the project will create employment opportunities for thousands of young people.
Mawlawi Hanafi also said the plant will use advanced automated systems, ensuring that its cement production meets international quality standards.
