    Economic Commission Endorses 12 Development Projects, Directs Relevant Authorities to Implementation

    The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for Economic Affairs has announced that 12 projects were approved at the latest meeting of the Economic Commission, with relevant authorities directed to begin their implementation.

    According to the statement, the approved projects include the transmission of imported electricity to Paktika, the construction of a double-circuit transmission line from Ghazni, the completion of remaining substation works and electricity supply projects, as well as the extension of power transmission lines from the Nur al-Jihad substation to Herat, Farah, and Nimroz provinces.

    The projects also include the supply of electricity to Sayyadan village in the Dahana Dara area of Pashtun Kot district, Faryab, the completion of the Dahan Dara dam and an irrigation scheme in the same district, as well as the provision of electricity to the 215 Azm Corps.

    Further approved initiatives include the activation and capacity enhancement of the 350-bed Aino Mina Hospital in Kandahar, the construction of a mosque with a capacity of 40,000 worshippers in the center of Nimroz province, as well as the extension of the Torghundi–Herat and Andkhoy–Shiberghan–Mazar-i-Sharif railway lines.
