Recently, Yunus Qanooni and Atta Mohammad Noor have launched new initiatives in northern Kabul, particularly in Kohdaman, aimed at regaining and expanding their political influence in the area. As part of these efforts, a council known as the “Islamic Unity of the People of Afghanistan” has been activated. Mahboobullah Sadiqi, who is considered a representative of Atta Mohammad Noor, has been assigned a leading role in advancing the council’s activities and agenda. It is reported that the aforementioned council, whose members are predominantly affiliated with the Jamiat party under the leadership of Atta Mohammad Noor, maintains close relations with certain foreign entities, particularly Iran.
The main objective of these movements is to compete for expanding influence against Almas Zahid in the northern regions of Kabul, appointing new imaginary successors, and shaping their personalities. As Haji Almas has distanced himself from this group, shown inclination toward the Ghoriani and Hizb-e-Islami, and consequently lost influence in his area compared to before, this process aims to remove him from the so-called Resistance Council.
In addition to isolating Haji Almas from the Resistance Council, the plan is to replace him with Amanullah Gozar in that council. With this action, they want to use Amanullah Guzar to fill the power vacuum in Kohdaman, making him the substitute for Haji Almas and paving the way for their imaginary group and the Jamiat party to gain influence in the area.
These notorious figures have previously formed various gatherings, alliances, and organizations from time to time, but in practice, they have not succeeded in creating any tangible readiness, influence, or significant military and political movements in the field, resulting in these groups dissolving and disappearing a few days after their formation.
