The spokesperson of the Afghan government, Zabihullah Mujahid, announced that under a special decree issued by the leadership of the government, former Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mawlawi Hamdullah Nomani, has been appointed as the Mayor of Herat.
Meanwhile, the former mayor of Herat, Mullah Nematullah Hassan, has been appointed as the Technical and Professional Deputy of the General Directorate for Municipal Affairs Reform.
