Former Saudi Ambassador to the United States, Turki Al-Faisal, said that if Israel’s plan to provoke a war between Saudi Arabia and Iran had succeeded, the entire region would have faced widespread destruction and instability.
In his remarks, he said such a war would not only have been disastrous for the countries of the region, but would also have claimed the lives of thousands of young people and civilians, while bringing no benefit to the Gulf countries.
According to him, Israel sought to deepen divisions among regional countries in order to impose its political and military agenda in the Middle East and remain the region’s sole dominant power.
Turki Al-Faisal also commended the position of the Saudi Crown Prince, stating that he did not permit divisions among Gulf countries or allow regional tensions to escalate further.
He stressed that mutual understanding and coordination among regional states are essential for preventing any potential crisis.
