Former U.S. envoy to Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad has questioned the killing of Hassan, a senior ISIS Khorasan commander, who was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Karachi.

In a post on X, Khalilzad questioned; “What was he doing in Karachi? Who killed him, and how important was he?”

He reposted Al-Mersad’s report on Hassan, adding his own comments to note the ambiguity surrounding the case.

Hassan, identified as a senior ISIS-K commander, was killed yesterday in Karachi by unidentified gunmen.
