Iran’s Ambassador in Kabul, Ali Reza Bikdeli, met with Mullah Abdul Wasi, Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister’s Office, and delivered an official invitation for the Afghan Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation to attend the funeral and burial ceremonies of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.
In a statement, the Deputy Spokesman of the Afghan government said that during the meeting, both sides also discussed bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Iran, economic cooperation, and regional issues.
Mullah Abdul Wasi, Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister’s Office, welcomed the end of the conflict between Iran and the United States.
He also called on Iran to provide greater facilities and support for Afghan refugees during their stay in Iran and upon their return to Afghanistan.
