Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said Iran withdrew from the four-party talks in Switzerland and will not take part in any further sessions following the threats made by U.S. President Donald Trump.
Baghaei said Qatar and Pakistan tried to keep the talks going, but Iran made clear that any future discussions would not continue in a four-party format.
Trump warned yesterday that if Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz again, it will face severe consequences. He also said Iran’s negotiating team would remain in Switzerland during the talks.
