Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf has once again stressed that a ceasefire can only be considered meaningful if it prevents disruption to the global economy through a maritime blockade and brings an end to the conflict involving the Zionist regime and the United States across all fronts.
Qalibaf said the United States has violated the ceasefire agreement and, through force and coercion, imposed a maritime blockade on Iran’s waters.
He added that the blockade must be lifted and that the conflict involving the Zionist regime and the United States must come to an end on all fronts. Otherwise, he warned that, in the event of a clear breach of the ceasefire, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz would not be possible.
The Iranian Parliament Speaker further stated that the United States, having failed to achieve its objectives through military action, will also not succeed through pressure and coercion. He stressed that the only viable path forward is the recognition of Iran’s national rights.
