Senior Iraqi sources cited by Arab media report that U.S.-led coalition forces have fully withdrawn from Iraq’s Ain al-Asad Airbase.

Iraq’s Ministry of Defense confirmed that its forces now have full control of the base.

Ain al-Asad, located in southern Iraq, was one of the largest U.S.-led coalition military bases in the Middle East.

The withdrawal followed an agreement between Washington and Baghdad and is expected to be fully completed by the end of 2026.
