Former U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad says Afghanistan is well positioned to attract major international investment, describing the potential agreement with Saudi Arabia’s Delta International as a positive development for the country’s economy.
Khalilzad said the development shows that Afghanistan is becoming increasingly prepared for trade and large-scale investment.
He added that Afghanistan has significant natural resources that could help meet the needs of regional and international markets and create new opportunities for economic growth.
