The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has announced that its acting minister, Nooruddin Azizi, met with China’s ambassador to Kabul, Zhao Xing, to discuss increasing Afghanistan’s exports to China. Alongside pine nuts, pomegranates, and precious stones, the talks also focused on expanding the export of other commodities.

According to the ministry, the discussions aimed to reduce transportation costs, enhance direct exports to China, facilitate trade logistics, and import essential machinery into Afghanistan.

The ministry further stated that both sides agreed to establish a joint team to strengthen cooperation, expand trade ties, and create mechanisms to facilitate commercial activities.
