According to the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, precious stones extracted from mines in Nuristan’s Duab district were sold to national traders for a total of 52 million and 620 thousand Afghanis. The stones included Tourmaline, kunzite, crystal, topaz, and magnetite.
The ministry added that 5 million and 226 thousand Afghanis from the transaction were deposited into the state treasury.
