Information obtained by Voice of Hindukush indicates that disagreements within the so-called Resistance Front over the killing of Hasib Qowai-e-Markaz are continuing. The issue was recently raised at the front’s office in Iran, where it was reportedly stated that Hasib had a disagreement and verbal altercation with Ahmad Massoud approximately one week before his killing.
At a meeting held in Mashhad, Iran, to organize the condolence ceremony for Hasib Qowai-e-Markaz, discussions were held about his recent activities, his disagreements with the front’s leadership, and the circumstances surrounding his killing.
According to accounts from participants at the meeting, disagreements had existed between Hasib and the front’s leadership prior to his killing. He had reportedly expressed serious criticism of the front’s management, military affairs, and particularly Ahmad Massoud’s leadership.
During the meeting, a front commander, Munib Amiri, said that approximately one week before Hasib’s killing, he had strongly criticized Ahmad Massoud’s actions and objected to the way the leadership was being handled.
The meeting also heard that following Hasib’s killing, various accounts had emerged regarding the circumstances of the incident and the conditions preceding it. As a result, some of his associates and close contacts are demanding a clear explanation of the incident.
The participants emphasized that a clear and convincing explanation should be provided regarding Commander Hasib’s recent activities, internal disagreements, and the circumstances surrounding his killing.
