The media office of the Herat Provincial Governor has reported that the implementation of the TAPI (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India) gas pipeline project is advancing swiftly in the northern region of Herat province.

Officials have stated that the interim government is committed to the rapid progress of the project and has provided the necessary facilities to ensure its successful development.

It is important to note that the total estimated cost of the TAPI project is $10 billion. In addition to securing gas supplies, Afghanistan is expected to receive $400 million annually from transit fees associated with the project.
