The leadership of Afghanistan’s interim government, in an address marking Eid al-Fitr, stated that the country’s enemies are attempting to once again turn Afghanistan into a battlefield and to create a divide between the people and the government.
In a speech lasting nearly 53 minutes, the interim government’s leader emphasized that just as Afghans once resisted occupation, they must now strive to protect and defend the “Islamic system.”
Referring to the violence and oppression carried out by the zionist regime in Gaza, he remarked: “The war in Gaza is a consequence of Muslim disunity, and attempts are still underway to further divide them.”
He assured that laws crucial to Afghanistan’s needs will be drafted and enacted in accordance with Islamic Sharia.
