The Massoud Family’s Project-Based Policies and the Deprivation of the People of Panjshir

Under the leadership of Ahmad Shah Massoud, the Massoud family has always implemented project-based policies in the country at the behest of foreigners among the Afghans, and Ahmad Shah Massoud himself has remained the leader of these policies.

Ahmad Shah Massoud first staged an armed uprising in Panjshir against Sardar Mohammad Daoud Khan in 1975, but after failing and facing pressure, he fled to Pakistan and sought refuge in the arms of the ISI.

Although he participated in the jihad against the Soviets and the communist regime, some covert plots and actions have also tarnished and discredited this process.

Since Salang was the only route from the north to the south and other parts of Afghanistan, Massoud had made an agreement for the passage of Russian troops.

There is information that Massood collected thousands of dollars in bribes from the former Soviet Union in exchange for allowing the Russian army and tanks to pass thru Salang without any problems or attacks.

The people of Panjshir, who first faced problems due to Ahmad Shah Massoud and later due to his brothers, are only known to the people within Panjshir.

Ahmad Shah Massoud would also divide the mines of Panjshir among his group’s people and armed men, and he would allocate a large portion to himself under the name of the Northern Alliance leadership, leaving the common people of Panjshir without any benefit.

His brothers Ahmad Zia Massoud and Ahmad Wali Massoud have also created extensive problems between the Tajik tribe in the name of the Massoud family, and have consumed the privileges and resources obtained in their father’s name in the name of the Tajik tribe with their armed groups.

After his father, now his son Ahmad Massoud has fallen into the embrace of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI and Western intelligence, and is busy taking on projects of war and turmoil for the Afghan homeland.

Day and night, he works on how to disrupt the peace that has come to Afghanistan and create insecurity in the country under the guise of their own interests and demands for the sinister goals of foreign powers.

This situation clarifies that, due to the Masood family and their project-based policies under the name of Ahmad Shah Masood, the people of Panjshir have suffered more than the rest of the country.

The youth are deprived of education, public development projects are virtually nonexistent, and from time to time, the youth stand before their people under the command of one or another leader.

Most of the youth have become tools of the warlords and have been involved in crimes in Panjshir, Parwan, Kapisa, and Kabul under various pretexts.

During the previous administration, when dozens of leaders of Panjshir held first-degree powers, yet no fundamental projects in development, reconstruction, education, health, and other sectors were visible in the mentioned province.

Considering the mountainous situation in Panjshir, the main roads are in ruins, and the lack of bridges over the rivers almost daily claims the lives of local women, children, and adults.

This situation has made it clear that the leaders who have emerged from Panjshir within the framework of Masood’s family have merely shouted for resistance in the name of the people of Panjshir, but in ignorance of the problems of the people of that region, they have actually worked for their own pockets.

They don’t care at all about the country’s and people’s prosperity and well-being; rather, their goal is to implement the agenda given to them by their masters, and they work under various names to achieve this.

But with the passage of nearly five years, it seems that the freedom-loving people of Afghanistan, both inside and outside the country, have recognized the goals of these individuals and can no longer bow their heads in subservience to any country.
