Corrupt officials of the fallen republic are repeating Trump’s slogan that Afghanistan is currently hell on earth. Trump is making these statements because he once wanted to subdue Afghanistan by force or make it accept what he and his administration wanted. He made many efforts for this during his previous term and even tested his last military strength, but when he saw that this stubbornness had the opposite results and his efforts were in vain, his view on Afghanistan changed. Sometimes he called it the graveyard of empires, sometimes he would tell stories of the defeat of former superpowers, sometimes he was alarmed by the casualties of his forces, and sometimes he would say one thing and sometimes another.
Trump saw his defeat in Afghanistan with his own eyes, which is why he prioritized the negotiating table, ultimately accepting his defeat by signing the Doha Agreement and initiating the withdrawal of forces. After Trump, Biden was very worried and finished the story Trump had started. Now, when Trump sees that his twenty-year efforts in Afghanistan have been in vain, he has lost thousands of soldiers, and trillions of dollars have been wasted, he is therefore in a state of turmoil. Sometimes, he calls Afghanistan hell, and sometimes its location confuses him. Sometimes, he wants Bagram Air Base and sometimes something else.
Surprisingly, even former officials of the fallen republic are repeating Trump’s words. They think that during the twenty-year occupation, Afghanistan was a garden of flowers and a paradise. They brazenly ignore the crimes and atrocities of the invaders and internal troops, and they cover up the brutal night raids, daisy cutters, blind and savage bombings, arbitrary killings, and hundreds and thousands of other horrors and crimes. To them, the crimes of the wild soldiers of about fifty countries in Afghanistan seem like paradise. Bombing weddings, funerals, and gatherings seems like paradise to them. Shooting women, children, and the elderly with heavy artillery seems like paradise to them. Having humans eaten by dogs in prisons, pulling out their fingernails and toenails, and inflicting various tortures seems like paradise to them.
So, the current freedom, peace, prosperity, and the people’s happiness seem like hell to them. If the people are suffering from economic problems, it is the result of the same corruption and theft that these officials looted the people’s national wealth, and played with the people’s lives, property, and values. They traded in the blood of the people, bringing in subordinate thieves and corrupt individuals from the West, crushing the poor and helpless people of the country and stealing their livelihoods. Yes! They have the memory of chickens, forget everything quickly, see themselves as white doves, and their infamous and foreign rule appears perfect to them.
Well, neither the people nor history are forgetful; both the people and history have preserved all their crimes, corruption, betrayals, and atrocities in their memories. The people will also remember those who stood and still stand ready to make any sacrifice and fight with their lives for the current situation, prosperity, security, and peace. The people will also remember those who stood with them in every good and bad situation. The people will also remember that despite a series of external challenges, conspiracies, and evils who are working day and night for prosperity, security, and well-being. Finally, the people know their true and false rulers in the fullest sense, and the opponents will never be able to pass off their false face as the real face.
