United States President Donald Trump criticized Israeli military’s tactics in the ongoing conflict in Lebanon, saying that strikes on residential buildings during operations targeting Hezbollah have resulted in civilian casualties.
Speaking at the G7 Summit, Trump stated that not all individuals living in such buildings are combatants and stressed that Israel should exercise greater caution in its military operations.
He further said that these actions are complicating U.S. diplomatic and peace efforts.
Recent remarks also suggest a noticeable shift in Trump’s policy stance toward Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
