Speaking at a press conference, Rubio said the United States is expanding its strategic relationship with Pakistan based on shared interests, while preserving its deep and historic alliance with New Delhi.

“Our cooperation with Pakistan is not at the expense of our vital relationship with India,” Rubio stated in response to a question about regional dynamics.

He acknowledged India’s concerns, describing them as understandable given the longstanding tensions between the two neighboring countries.

Rubio concluded by emphasizing that the United States pursues a broad diplomatic strategy, maintaining constructive relations with a diverse set of international partners.
