The Wall Street Journal, citing its sources, reported that fighter jets of the United Arab Emirates secretly carried out airstrikes against Iran.

According to the report, one of the attacks was conducted in early April on an oil refinery located on Lavan Island in the Persian Gulf.

It was stated that the strike caused a major fire at the refinery.

The report added that the attack took place simultaneously with the announcement of a ceasefire between Tehran and Washington.
