In a televised interview, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on U.S. President Donald Trump to visit Ukraine before finalizing any agreements with Russia regarding the war’s resolution.
Zelensky said: “Please, before making any decisions or engaging in any negotiations, come and see the people, the civilians, the fighters, the hospitals, the churches, the destruction and the children killed.”
The interview was broadcast following reports that Russian forces had carried out missile strikes on the Ukrainian city of Sumy the previous day, causing over 150 casualties.
