According to a statement issued by Afghanistan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, the minister, Mawlawi Ataullah Omari, met with India’s Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, Pabitra Margherita, during his official visit to India. The two sides discussed expanding cooperation in the fields of agriculture, livestock, and trade.
During the meeting, Mawlawi Ataullah Omari said that Afghanistan has significant potential for agricultural and livestock production and is ready to export products needed by India. He also called for facilitating the movement of traders and expanding trade relations between the two countries.
The statement added that India’s Minister of State for External Affairs emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations and reaffirmed New Delhi’s commitment to continuing cooperation with Afghanistan.
