The Economic Commission of the interim government, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, has approved the draft of the National Development Strategy following a thorough review and consideration of proposed amendments.

In a statement, the Arg (Emirati Palace) described the draft as a comprehensive, unified, and long-term document intended to define and achieve the country’s key national objectives over the next five years. The strategy was developed under the leadership of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, with the Ministry of Economy serving as secretariat, in collaboration with relevant sectoral ministries.

The statement outlined the strategy’s vision for a stable and prosperous Afghanistan, grounded in strong regional and international relations. Its objectives include the implementation of Islamic Sharia law, strengthening effectiveness, transparency, and accountability, expanding constructive engagement with regional and global partners, securing sustainable peace and public security, fostering employment and economic growth, safeguarding religious and national values, protecting territorial integrity and Islamic governance, improving the management of national and natural resources, enhancing the delivery of essential services, promoting industry, trade, and the private sector, advancing infrastructure and regional connectivity, and improving social protection and the living environment.

The rogue Pakistani military does not want the existing problems between Pakistan and Afghanistan to be resolved through rational and peaceful means. Afghans fully understand why the Pakistani military carried out the massacre of women and children and what its objectives are. However, the Pakistani military should realize that it will not be able to drag Afghans into a war at the time of its own choosing. Rather, Afghans themselves will determine the appropriate time to engage in war and teach the Pakistani military a lesson. The Pakistani military will inevitably reap what it has sown, and it will pay a very heavy price for it.
