    Deputy Minister of Public Works Attends International Railway Conference in Kazakhstan

    According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Works, Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas, an Afghan delegation led by the Deputy Minister for Railways, Mawlawi Mohammad Ishaq Sahibzada, took part in the 24th meeting of the Organization for Cooperation of Railways held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.

    He stated that the Afghan delegation discussed the expansion of regional cooperation during the meeting and also held separate meetings with officials from the railway authorities of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

    According to him, these discussions focused on increasing the capacity of the Hairatan and Torghundi ports, as well as enhancing transit through Sher Khan Port and expanding transit facilities.
