The Herat provincial media office has announced that the districts of Obe and Pashtun Zarghun will soon be connected to Herat’s national electricity grid.
Technical work to connect the two districts has reached its final stages. Once completed, thousands of residents in remote areas will gain access to electricity.
The provincial media office added that, following this phase, the extension of the grid from district centers to surrounding villages will begin in cooperation with the private sector.
