    Launch of Three Power Projects Worth Over 1.12 Billion Afghanis Announced in Faryab

    On Tuesday, three electricity transmission and distribution projects were inaugurated in Faryab province by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.

    According to a statement issued by the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for Economic Affairs, the projects include the extension of a 110-kilovolt transmission line from the central substation in Faryab to Belcheragh and Garziwan districts.

    They projects also include the construction of a 110/20-kilovolt substation in Belcheragh district, as well as the expansion of electricity distribution networks through transformers with capacities of 18 MVA in Belcheragh district and 5 MVA in Pashtun Kot district.

    The statement added that the projects will cost a total of 1.12 billion Afghanis and are being financed by the Afghan government, with implementation expected to be completed within three years through the private sector.
